I am reading the paper Blockwise Multi-Order Feature Regression for Real-Time Path Tracing Reconstruction and the authors use a term several times which I am not sure what it means. This is in the context of reconstruction algorithms (denoising) for path traced fraces at 1 spp.

They write :"Since the quality of the interactive methods is not as good as in offline methods (for path tracing), extra care needs to be taken to address temporal stability of the results."

What does "temporal stability" mean in this context?
